Mosaics made by the kindergartners

After we worked on our career/tyepface lesson for a few weeks we came back to mosaics. Last time they made a collaborative mosaic to auction but this time we made personal mosaics (freedom!! ;)). Each grade and class used a little bit different materials but we all studied Roman mosaics and were challenged to work with geometric and/or color patterns. One of our sweet parents sent me a link on how to make mosaics in a pie pan with cement so I used that method with the kindergartners. It worked wonderfully! After they hardened we painted on top and around them for our finishing touch. These are some of the completed pieces- so, so precious!
